Who we are

Get Compliance Ltd ("we", "us") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and our services. We are registered in England & Wales, company number 10933749. What we collect and why

We collect personal data only when you give it to us to arrange or deliver a service:

• Enquiries (quote form, email, phone, WhatsApp): your name, contact details, the property address or postcode and details of the service you need. We use this to respond to you, prepare quotes and arrange appointments. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
• Delivering services: property details, access arrangements and the information needed to produce certificates, reports and calculations. Legal basis: performance of a contract, and legal obligation where certificates must be lodged on statutory registers (for example the national EPC register).
• Abuse prevention: when you submit the quote form we also store a one-way hash of your IP address. We use it only to stop automated flooding of the form, it identifies nobody on its own, it is never exported or shared, and it is erased shortly after submission. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the form usable.
• Records and invoicing: we keep copies of certificates, reports and invoices for as long as the law and professional requirements demand — for example, gas safety records must be kept for at least two years, and accounting records for six.

What we don't do

• We don't use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and we set no cookies at all on the public pages of this website. The only cookie we use is a strictly necessary sign-in cookie on our private staff dashboard, which visitors never reach.
• We don't sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
• We don't send marketing emails unless you have asked for them, and you can opt out at any time.

Who we share data with

Only where necessary to deliver the service:

• The qualified professionals carrying out your work — assessors, engineers, surveyors and inspectors — who receive only what they need to attend and complete the job.
• Statutory registers, where a certificate must be lodged by law (for example the national EPC register).
• Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts this website and the enquiry database, and processes limited connection data (including IP addresses) in server logs for security and availability.
• Google — we use a private Google spreadsheet to manage and track enquiries, so the details you send us are stored there as well as in the database above. It is not shared with anyone outside our business, and it is not used for advertising or analytics.
• Our email notification service, which tells us an enquiry has arrived. It is sent the service you asked about and the first part of your postcode only — never your name, phone number, email address or message. Those stay in the database described above and are read only by us.

If you contact us via WhatsApp, your use of WhatsApp is also governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy. We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details that don't become a job are deleted automatically within 12 months. Job records, certificates and invoices are kept for the statutory and professional periods that apply to each document type — for example, gas safety records for at least two years and accounting records for six — and then deleted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict our processing, and ask for your data in a portable format. Email info [at] getcompliance.co.uk and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Security

We keep personal data on access-controlled systems, share it only with the people delivering your work, and use encrypted connections (HTTPS) throughout this website.
