Why we exist
Getting a property built, sold or let in the UK means satisfying a stack of overlapping regulations — Part L, MEES, gas safety, electrical safety, fire safety, licensing. Most landlords and developers end up juggling four or five contractors, each covering one certificate and none seeing the whole picture.
Get Compliance exists to do one part of that stack properly: the energy assessments. The SAP calculation at design stage, the U-values when building control asks a question, and the EPC at completion — produced under our own Elmhurst Energy accreditation, not passed down a chain.
Our specialism is energy compliance for new builds, conversions and extensions — the calculations that decide whether a project passes building control — plus domestic EPCs for homes across Greater London.
What we don't do. We're not a gas, electrical or fire contractor, and we don't pretend to be. The same goes for surveys, inventories and HMO licensing. Landlords ask us about all of them constantly, so we publish plain-English guides to each — and if you need one arranged, ask and we'll point you in the right direction. We'd rather send you to the right person than sell you something we don't do.
Where we work: anything requiring a site visit — domestic EPCs, inventories, certificates — is carried out across Greater London. SAP calculations, U-value calculations and new build EPCs are produced from your drawings, so we deliver those remotely across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
How we work
- Fixed quotes, upfront. The price we quote is the price you pay — no on-the-day extras.
- Accredited by Elmhurst Energy. Our energy assessments are produced under Elmhurst Energy accreditation, and every energy certificate is lodged on the national register.
- Insured. Professional indemnity and public liability insurance in place for the energy assessment work we carry out — certificates available on request.
- Fast, honest turnaround. We confirm realistic dates when you book — and hit them.
- Advice before invoices. If a cheaper route to compliance exists, we tell you. Repeat clients are the business model.
- Everything in writing. Certificates emailed and retrievable whenever a solicitor, agent or council asks.
